Located in the western coastal region of India in the tropical zone near the Arabian Sea, Goa has a hot and humid climate for most of the year. Goa experiences three major seasons throughout the year.
The summer season, which begins in March and lasts until early June, is marked by temperatures over 35°C and high humidity in May. Monsoon rains arrive in early June, lasting till late September, with the majority of the annual monsoon received during this period. A brief winter season extends from mid-December to February when the nights are cooler, temperatures fall to 20°C, and daytime temperatures are recorded at 29°C with moderate humidity.
