About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG
Key Responsibilities
• Track investment announcements, project implementation progress, and prepare internal company analysis on the likelihood of investments
• Drive identification of potential investors and build investor pipeline in photonics & electronics manufacturing equipment space
• Lead investor engagements (1x1 meetings with Project teams, CXO level, curate International/Domestic roadshows, roundtables, sector webinars)
• Facilitate investors through secondary research on emerging trends, global best practices/comparative analysis, and policy landscapes in Electronics and Semiconductor industry
• Prepare and review sectoral intelligence reports, investor pitchbooks, and knowledge collaterals.
• Draft investor proposals, background notes, concept notes, and policy briefs
Qualifications
- Prior consulting experience in business/strategy teams (non-public sector practices) at tier 1 consulting firms, or relevant experience in investment banking/corporate strategy/ growth roles
- BBA, B.Com, BTech, or BE with alignment to electronics, finance & investment.
- Demonstrated exposure to electronics value chain, including components (PCBs, Passives, lasers, sensors, optical modules, PICs), systems (telecom/datacom, industrial, medical), and manufacturing ecosystem (materials, fabrication, packaging, testing), with the ability to identify market opportunities for investment thesis
