About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG
Key Responsibilities
1) Investment Facilitation & Investor Outreach
- Identify and engage investment opportunities intending to investment in tourism projects, which will include hotels, alternative accomodations, experiences (amusement/theme parks)
- Lead investor engagements from origination to project grounding, including stakeholder coordination and issue resolution.
- Build relationships with concerned Ministries at the Federal level to create and enable grounding of bespoke opportunities.
2) Investment Promotion
- Execute sector-focused roadshows, industry events, roundtables, and investor outreach initiatives.
- Develop targeted company engagement strategies and build a robust investment pipeline.
3) Pipeline Management
- Track and manage sector leads across the investment lifecycle.
- Work closely with Central Ministries, State Governments, and industry bodies to facilitate project progression and conversion.
4) Sector Research & Advisory
- Develop sector intelligence, company profiles, market assessments, and investment opportunity notes.
- Provide advisory support on policy, incentives, location assessment, localisation opportunities, and manufacturing ecosystem development.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or analytical tools (R/Python) preferred.
5) Stakeholder & Industry Engagement
- Support engagements with industry associations, embassies, bilateral platforms, and strategic partners.
- Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and senior leadership meeting materials.
6) Knowledge Management & Reporting
- Maintain CRM records, project trackers, and sector databases.
- Support development of sector collateral, reports, and investor-facing content.
7) Collaboration and Team Work
Work closely with Country, State, and Sector teams to deliver seamless investor facilitation and achieve investment targets.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree preferred in Management, Economics, Public Policy, International Business, or related disciplines.
- 1-3 years of experience or understanding in manufacturing, industrial machinery, consulting, investment promotion, business development, or allied sectors.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage industry leaders, investors, government agencies, and industry associations.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and business research tools.
- Demonstrated experience in sector research, company profiling, market assessment, investor engagement, and project facilitation.
