About the Department

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG

Key Responsibilities

1) Investment Facilitation & Investor Outreach

  • Identify and support engagement with domestic and international investors exploring opportunities in the textiles, apparel, technical textiles, MMF, sustainable textiles, and textile manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Assist in managing investor queries and support investment projects throughout the facilitation lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with Central Ministries, State Governments, and other stakeholders to resolve investor issues and enable project implementation.
  • Support the preparation of investment proposals, project briefs, and investor presentations.

2) Investment Promotion

  • Support the planning and execution of sector-focused roadshows, investor meetings, webinars, conferences, and industry events.
  • Assist in developing targeted outreach strategies for prospective investors across the textile value chain.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential investment opportunities.

3) Pipeline Management

  • Maintain and regularly update investment leads and project trackers.
  • Monitor project progress and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Support reporting on investment pipeline, project status, and conversion metrics.

4) Sector Research & Advisory

  • Conduct research on the textiles and apparel sector, including market trends, global supply chains, manufacturing competitiveness, and emerging investment opportunities.
  • Develop company profiles, sector reports, investment opportunity notes, benchmarking studies, and policy briefs.
  • Support advisory services related to investment policies, incentive schemes, industrial parks, location assessments, and manufacturing ecosystem development.
  • Utilize MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations; exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or analytical tools will be an added advantage.

5) Stakeholder & Industry Engagement

  • Support engagements with industry associations, export promotion councils, embassies, bilateral chambers, and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate meetings with government departments and industry stakeholders.
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentations, meeting minutes, and senior leadership materials.

6) Knowledge Management & Reporting

  • Maintain CRM records, investor databases, project trackers, and sector knowledge repositories.
  • Support preparation of investor-facing collateral, newsletters, presentations, reports, and sector publications.
  • Ensure timely documentation of project updates and stakeholder interactions.

7) Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work closely with Country, State, and Sector teams to provide seamless investor facilitation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve investment promotion targets and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Textile Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, International Business, Public Policy, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in investment promotion, consulting, textiles & apparel, manufacturing, policy research, business development, or related sectors.
  •  Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and project management capabilities.
  •  Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and business research tools.
  • Fresh graduates with strong internships or relevant project experience may also be considered.
